Abstract
Temperature effect on the kinetics of plasticization of cellulose nitrate/plasticizer compositions is studied. The obtained experimental data are used to construct a mathematical model of the dissolution of cellulose nitrate in plasticizer. The mathematical model describes the dependence of the optical density of 1 % cellulose nitrate/plasticizer compositions on time, temperature, and type of the plasticizer, as well as the rate of change of the optical density as a function of temperature and type of the plasticizer.
