Abstract

To determine the efficiency of shielding from nonionizing electromagnetic radiations, a device that allows one to study electromagnetic fields at separate frequencies with a high sensitivity and to represent the results of measurements as spectral distributions using computer facility has been suggested. The results of measurements of the electromagnetic field from a radiation source shield by different materials have been considered in a limited frequency range. A version of the spectral distribution of an electromagnetic signal has been presented. The dependences of shielding coefficients on the distance between an electromagnetic radiation source and a measuring unit have been plotted for different shielding materials and frequency ranges. The possibility of using the developed device as an analyzer of low-frequency electromagnetic signals both under the steady-state conditions and in domestic service and industrial facilities with a nonaggressive environment has been shown.
