Resumo

Abstract—Experimental studies on the wear of polyether ether ketone (PEEK) on carbon steel 45 and alloyed steel 18Х2Н4МА have been carried out. It is shown that in the friction pair of PEEK—alloyed steel compared to PEEK—carbon steel creates a temperature regime that promotes the chemical interaction of polymer and nickel, which leads to a noticeable decrease in the upper limit of the range of operating loads. The paper presents the results of a comparative microscopic study of friction tracks on the polymer and on carbon and alloyed steels.
