Developing the mechanisms of parallel structure with five degrees of freedom designed for technological robots

Chunikhin A., Glazunov V.

Resumo

The paper deals with the problems of kinematic and force analysis of a technological robot with a parallel structure, which is a development of the well-known METROM scheme that corresponds to five degrees of freedom. In contrast to the prototype, this mechanism only has three kinematic chains, which leads to an increase in the working area due to a decrease in the possibility of mutual interference between the kinematic chains.

On the problem of decreasing the vibroactivity of the drives of cyclic machines when accounting for the dynamic characteristics of electric engines

Vulfson I.

Resumo

Some uninvestigated factors that affect the vibroactivity in drives of cyclic mechanisms upon the introduction of electric engine characteristics have been analyzed. An engineering calculation method for similar systems based on applying transfer matrixes that is well adapted to computer procedures has been proposed. Specific effects related to the high equivalent compliance of the engine and variations in the reduced inertial and elastic-dissipative characteristics has been observed. Based on this, one must substantially correct the frequently used dynamic model in which the engine’s contributions are limited by its additional frequency and variations in the inertial characteristics of the vibrating system are ignored. The efficiency of implementing the quasi-steady-state conditions has been demonstrated while optimizing parameters.

The dynamics of a complex machine assembly: Vibration-induced drag on the rotation

Blekhman I., Kremer E.

Resumo

An engineering system of complex real machine assembly is considered that, in contrast to a conventional assembly, has additional degrees of freedom. These degrees of freedom are considered to be latent, i.e., those that modify the dynamics of the basic degree of freedom on average. According to this approach, the authors obtained an averaged equation that has the form of a classical equation of a simple real assembly, but contains an additional moment of load that considers resonance phenomena. The derivation of the equation is exemplified by a vehicle that moves along an uneven road.

Kinematics of motions in rotor system during contact between rotor and floating elements

Banakh L., Barmina O., Kel’ner M.

Resumo

The contact regimes in the rotor system when the contact of the rotor with light movable elements of the system have been considered The vibrations of an imbalanced rotor–floating ring system when rotating the rotor inside the floating ring when permanent contact with them have been investigated. Furthermore, the ring vibrations occur, during of which it runs the rotor when permanent contact with it in the direct precession regime (the precession direction coincides with the rotation direction) (hula hoop-type vibration). This article considers the kinematics of ring motion. The trajectories of ring motion in both absolute and relative motion at different ratios between the radii of the ring and rotor have been plotted. It has been revealed that the ring vibrations are a direct asynchronous precession; furthermore, the ring points circumscribe epitrochoids and the trajectory shape depends significantly on the ratio between the radii of the rotor and the ring.

On the qualitative analysis of nonlinear resonant modes in multidimensional structures

Krupenin V.

Resumo

The resonant behavior of multidimensional structures simulated via strongly nonlinear dynamic systems has been studied. The energy balance principle has been applied for the qualitative analysis of these systems. The number of potential nonlinear resonant modes under periodic polyharmonic force and parametric excitation has been estimated. The dynamic effects have been investigated and examples have been provided.

Influence of geometric parameters on the characteristics of hydrodynamic oscillators

Korneev A., Shmyrkov O.

Resumo

The results of an experimentally calculated study of f low-type hydrodynamic oscillators of the vortex type have been presented. The work objective is to research the inf luence of oscillator geometry, in particular the positions of holes that feed the working substance, on the amplitude–frequency responses. These oscillators are applied in wave techniques used in mechanical engineering, the chemical industry, power engineering, oil and gas production, and a number of other industries.

Problems on comparing analytical and numerical estimations of stressed-deformed state of structure elements

Doronin S., Rogalev A., Reizmunt E.

Resumo

A methodical approach to estimating the accuracy of the stressed-deformed state of structural elements has been presented that consists of the reverse analysis of errors in analytical and numerical solutions. The novelty of the approach lies in defining the problems of comparing analytical and numerical results jointly with the developed method for estimating the computational errors. The approach makes it possible to increase the validity of computation results according to the applied computation procedures, which makes it possible to increase the reliability and safety of technical objects.

Rezchikov A., Kushnikov V., Ivashchenko V., Fominykh D., Bogomolov A., Filimonyuk L.

Resumo

The problem of minimizing critical events, the combination of which lead to accident situations in robotic welding as part of man–machine production control systems has been considered. The statement of the problem has been adduced, and models, algorithms, and software and hardware tools for solving it have been developed. The solution of this problem will improve the accuracy and quality of operations and reduce losses from the downtime of the welding equipment.

Designing branching or shaped composite elements by analogy with the structure of treetops

Polilov A., Tatus’ N.

Resumo

The analogy of the bending flexibility of shaped beams of the constarea class (with a constant area of the cross section) and branching composite structures that resemble a treetop with a constant sum of the areas of sections of the branches (Leonardo’s rule) has been studied. Ideally, profiling or branching provide threefold growth in flexibility while retaining strength, i.e., a threefold increase in the accumulated elastic energy for the fixed load and mass of the elastic element. It has been shown that the use of the fiberglass in these elastic elements enables one to reduce their mass by approximately 20 times compared to the steel analog. The limitation of the possibility of use of the linearized bend equation for the shaped beams has been specified. The efficient use of branching composite elastic elements is possible in space-based structures due to their light specific weight and extremely low energy consumption when producing parts from polymer composites, which allows them to be produced directly in orbit.

Smirnov A., Mokhova A., Semenov M., Kuksenova L., Fakhurtdinov R.

Resumo

An analysis has been carried out of mixed-surface impregnation of the 13Kh3N3M2VFB-Sh age-hardenable integrally alloyed steel consisting of successive vacuum carburizing, heat treatment, grinding and nitriding in the glow-discharge was made. Test results of samples hardened by mixed-surface impregnation for back-to-back endurance and wear resistance have been presented. It has been shown that mixed-surface impregnation combines the advantages of vacuum carburizing and nitriding. A surface hardness of more than 1000 HV has been achieved via the mixed-surface impregnation of this stated steel.

Mitenkov F., Ovchinnikov V., Nikolaev M., Litvinov V.

Resumo

A system and algorithm for controlling a complex flexible rotor on active magnenic bearings have been proposed that make it possible to significantly reduce the amplitude of rotor vibrations at critical frequencies. The algorithm combines the identification of the forces of inertia caused by the residual imbalance and the formation of control actions compensating these forces. The effectiveness of the synthesized control system and control algorithm has been illustrated by computer simulation.
