The idea of a “biological interface” as a fundamental discovery leading to a paradigm shift in human science, is considered from a critical point of view. It indicates that computer metaphor has a solely utilitarian nature and limited cognitive value to perception of both philosophical problems of consciousness and mental disorders in general.
