The Editorial Board of «Slavyanovedenie» journal accepts materials sent as a file (please use a word processing programme and save it as a .doc) attached to an e-mail. The article should be written strictly in accordance with the rules adduced below and carefully proofread. In the e-mail, the author should provide the necessary personal information: surname, first name(s), patronym, academic degree(s) and title(s), the place of work, position, postal and e-mail address.

Articles should not exceed 40 000 characters (including intervals), reports should not be longer than 30 000 characters, reviews – 7 000. Articles should be provided with a short abstract (200–300 characters) and keywords in Russian and English.

Letter «ё» is used only in case when its replacement by «e» distorts the meaning of the word; in other cases letter «e» is used

Abbreviations

At first mention, full forms of first names and patronyms are given

Initials are separated from the last name with an interval

 

Years of a certain period are given in numbers, not in numerals, for instance: 20-е годы, and not двадцатые годы

Precise date is given with the abbreviation г. or гг.: 1920 г., 1920–1922 гг.

Only в. or вв., not век or века (with Roman number): IX в.

Only the full form for так как, or так называемые

Possible abbreviations: т.д., т.п., др., т.е., and см.

Only %, not a word, if relates to the figure, and with an interval: 3 %

Numbers: millions from thousand, and thousands from hundreds are separated with an interval: 4 700 000, 1 560

000 could be replaced by respecitve abbrevations: тыс., млн, and млрд

For currencies, conventional abbreviations are used: долл., фр., руб., ф. ст., and марка

Quotation marks are only «», in case when the quoted word begins or ends a citation, inverted commas are used: «“раз”,два, три, “четыре”»

List of the literature is placed after the text; numeration corresponds to the sequence of quotation. The list includes only works, directly related to text. References in the text are placed into square brackets, for example: [1. C. 12], and by repeated citations, the number corresponds to the initial number in the list of literature

Surname and initials of the authors are italicised

Footnotes to the text are only automatic, at the bottom of each page, and numerated with Arabic numbers

Sign of footnote is put at the end of the sentence, before the full stop
