The ubiquitous transition to high-tech systems in all spheres of human activity has led to an increase in the demand for specialists who are able not only to maintain such systems but also to refine and develop new ones. Therefore, when preparing bachelors in the 09.03.02 Information Systems and Technologies direction, the following questions become critical: What should be taught? How should it be taught? Based on the analysis of requirements of educational and professional standards developed in accordance with employers' requirements and realities of the information society, one approach to organizing the teaching of programming at a university is presented.
