New Species of Crassatina (Bivalvia) from the Middle and Upper Eocene of Ukraine
Аннотация
Representatives of the genus Crassatina from the Upper Eocene Mandrikovka Beds in the vicinity of Dnepr (former Dnepropetrovsk) are discussed and figured. From the Mandrikovka assemblage, two new species, C. conquisita and C. insolita, are described. One more new species, C. subcostata, is described from the Middle Eocene deposits of southern suburbs of Krivoi Rog. Two species, C. raricostata (Klushnikov) and C. expolita (Klushnikov), which were originally established as varieties, are redescribed and their species rank is substantiated.
Clausiuraloceras mechetlense, a New Ammonoid Species from the Kungurian of the Southern Cisuralian Region
Аннотация
A new species, Clausiuraloceras mechetlense sp. nov., is described from the lower part of the Kungurian (pnevi Zone) of the Mechetlino-3 (quarry) section, which is a candidate for the Global Boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) of the Artinskian-Kungurian Boundary. The species has a set of characters in the sutural outline, shell shape and ornamentation, the appearance of which indicates the beginning of a new stage in the morphogenesis of paragastrioceratids of Cisuralia. Beds with C. mechetlense are recognized in the southern Cisuralian Region, the lower boundary of which is placed at the base of the Kungurian.
On the First Finds of the Genus Djanaliparkinsonia (Stephanoceratidae, Ammonoidea) in the Upper Bajocian of the Northern Caucasus
Аннотация
The genus Djanaliparkinsonia Kutuzova, 1975 was originally described as an endemic subgenus of the genus Parkinsonia (family Parkinsoniidae of the superfamily Perisphinctoidea) from the Upper Bajocian (middle member of the Degibadam Formation) of the Gissar Range (Uzbekistan). A new species D. alanica sp. nov. is established from the Upper Bajocian Garantiana garantiana Zone (upper member of the Djangura Formation) based on occurrences in the Northern Caucasus (Karachay-Cherkessia). Macroconchs and microconchs of the new species are described from the two localities on the Kuban and Kyafar rivers. Djanaliparkinsonia sp. is identified from the lower subzone of the Parkinsonia parkinsoni Zone of the Kyafar River. The species composition and geographic range of Djanaliparkinsonia are expanded: a species previously described from Germany as Garantiana bentzi Wetzel, 1954 also assigned to the genus. The genus Djanaliparkinsonia is assigned to the subfamily Garantianinae of the family Stephanoceratidae (superfamily Stephanoceratoidea).
Shell Microstructure of Kabanoviella obliterata Lahusen (Brachiopoda, Rhynchonellidae) from the Upper Hauterivian of Ulyanovsk Region
Аннотация
The shell microstructure of Kabanoviella obliterata from the Late Hauterivian of the Boreal Basin of Russian Platform was studied. The most part of its primary finely crystalline layer is composed of curved plates. The plate walls are joined to form a net composed of rhombic, rarely loop-shaped meshes. The upper part of secondary fibrous layer is capillate. The fibrous layer contains several prismatic sublayers.
First Fossil Xiphosuran (Chelicerata, Xiphosura) Egg Clutch from the Carboniferous of Khakassia
Аннотация
A new formal genus with a new species Xiphosuroides khakassicus gen. et sp. nov. is established for a clutch of nine eggs containing embryos, presumably xiphosurans (Chelicerata, Xiphosura, Bellinurina). This unique specimen comes from the Lower–Middle Carboniferous Sarskaya Formation of Khakassia (Izykhskie Kopi locality). If the hypothesis of the xiphosuran nature of these eggs is correct, the specimen described in this paper is the first certain record of fossil xiphosuran eggs and embryos.
New Insects (Insecta: Trichoptera, Reculida, Eoblattida) from the Mesozoic of Asia
Аннотация
New caddisflies, reculid and eoblattid insects from the Mesozoic of Asia are described. Caddisflies of the families Philopotamidae (Mesoviatrix paradoxa gen. et sp. nov. and Kempia piotri gen. et sp. nov.) and Polycentropodidae (Polylongevus eskovi gen. et sp. nov.) from the Upper Jurassic–Lower Cretaceous of the Kempendyai locality in Yakutia are described. A short review and comparison of fossil members in these families are provided. New Gryllones insects, Shurabia tanga sp. nov., Sauk batkenicus gen. et sp. nov. from the Sauk Tan’ga locality (Lower Jurassic of Kyrgyzstan), Say kirgizicus gen. et sp. nov. from the Shurab III locality (Reculida: Geinitziidae; Lower or Middle Jurassic of Kyrgyzstan) Griphopteron iya sp. nov. (Eoblattida: Blattogryllidae) from Iya locality (Middle Jurassic of Russia) are described.
New Angarosphecidae (Insecta: Hymenoptera: Apoidea) from the Lower Cretaceous of Northeastern China
Аннотация
Two new species of the family Angarosphecidae, Angarosphex saxosus sp. nov. and Vitimosphex vividus sp. nov., from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of northeastern China are described and illustrated. Generic diagnoses are revised. The genera Palaeapis Hong, 1984, Mataeosphex: Zhang, 1985, and Calobaissodes Zhang, 1992 are synonymized under Angarosphex Rasnitsyn, 1975, and new combinations Angarosphex beiboziensis (Hong, 1984), comb. nov., Angarosphex venulosus (Zhang, 1985), comb. nov., and Angarosphex strigosus Zhang, 1992, comb. nov. are proposed. The genus Vitimosphex Rasnitsyn, 1975 is found reaching northeastern China in its distribution. New morphological data are presented to complete characteristics of the genera concerned.

On Polymorphism of Protoceratops andrewsi Granger et Gregory, 1923 (Protoceratopidae, Neoceratopsia)
Аннотация
Cervical vertebrae of six horned dinosaurs from the Upper Cretaceous of Mongolia, which are identified as Protoceratops andrewsi are examined. It is shown that vertebrae of the same serial number essentially differ in different specimens. The differences concern, for example, the shape of the vertebral centra, proportions of the centra and neurapophyses, inclination of pedicles of the neural arch and long axis of the diapophyseal base relative to the longitudinal axis of the centrum. Comparison has shown that available sample contains representatives of at less four morphotypes.
Northernmost Record of the Merck’s Rhinoceros Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis (Jäger) and Taxonomic Status of Coelodonta jacuticus Russanov (Mammalia, Rhinocerotidae)
Аннотация
A lower jaw of Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis from the Mus Khaya locality on the Yana River in Yakutia is described. This jaw was previously designated as a paratype of Coelodonta jacuticus, but morphological and morphometric analysis has shown that it actually belongs to a typical S. kirchbergensis. Morphometric parameters of the holotype (skull) of C. jacuticus fall within the range of intraspecific variation of C. antiquitatis. The same results of a morphometric study were obtained for the subspecies Coelodonta antiquitatis pristinus and C. a. humilis. This suggests that C. jacuticus, Coelodonta antiquitatis pristinus, and C. a. humilis are invalid taxa which should be regarded as junior synonyms of C. antiquitatis. The find of S. kirchbergensis in northern Yakutia is the northernmost occurrence of this species.
A New Species of the Genus Phoenicopsis (Leptostrobales) from the Middle Jurassic of the Irkutsk Basin (Eastern Siberia)
Аннотация
It was believed until recently that the sediments of the intra-dome trough of the Irkutsk Basin did not contain plant remains suitable to confidently determine the rocks’ age, or to correlate them with the successions in the major part of the Irkutsk Basin. In 2015 satisfactorily preserved plant remains were found for the first time in the intra-dome trough sections. The new species Phoenicopsis kurminensis sp. nov. was established based on this material. This species is the first representative of the subgenus Culgoweria, found in the Jurassic of the Irkutsk Basin.
