Abstract
The effect of the content of carbon and niobium on the kinetics of the phase transformations of austenite and on the mechanical properties of the matrix metal and of the weld-affected zone is studied. The differences in the kinetics of the austenite transformations under post-rolling cooling of sheets and under the heat effect of welding on the matrix metal are shown.
