Aims and Scope

Geochemistry is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to the problems of cosmochemistry; geochemistry of magmatic, metamorphic, hydrothermal and sedimentary processes; organic geochemistry; applied geochemistry and environmental chemistry. The journal accepts manuscripts from all countries of the world in English or Russian.

Peer Review Process

The criteria for selecting articles are compliance of the submitted manuscript with the subject of the journal, compliance with the author's ethics, including, among other things, the absence of plagiarism or auto-plagiarism, and passing the stages of scientific review. The latter is performed by at least two reviewers. Authors are opened for the reviewers, and reviewers could be opened or closed for the authors depending on the particular reviewer choice. Our team of reviewers includes over 270 experts from 5 countries (Russia, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany). The average period from submission to first decision in 2019 was 5 days, and that from first decision to acceptance was 180 days. The rejection rate for submitted manuscripts in 2019 was 30%. The final decision on the acceptance of an article for publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief and/or the Editorial Board.
