Abstract
Dear colleagues! First of all, let me express my deep gratitude for the honorable offer of the Academic Council to read the speech at the solemn meeting of the Institute. This offer is a great honor to me and our entire team of biochemists. For the entire more than 100-year history of the Department of Biological Chemistry, founded by Alexander Yakovlevich Danilevsky in 1863, representatives of our discipline for the first time make an assembly speech.
