Abstract

The method of influencing the nasal mucosa for therapeutic purposes in internal diseases was first applied by Bonnier (1905), who believed that different parts of the receptor zones of the nasal region correspond to certain internal organs. Although the effectiveness of this method in a number of diseases was recognized, in the future, its practical application was little, mainly due to insufficient theoretical development (A.R. Kirichinsky).
