To identify professionally important personality traits and their subsequent assessment in officers, a questionnaire survey and psycho-diagnostic examination were conducted. It was found out what personal qualities of chiefs, subordinates and colleagues are valuable (important), or, conversely, prevent the effectiveness of professional activities. The survey results were systematized using content analysis. A comparison was made of the data obtained in the groups of officers: S. M. Signs of professional burnout were identified using the questionnaire “Professional burnout” by M. A. Dmitrieva, V. M. Snetkova. Results. It was established that when assessing the identity of commanders, subordinates and colleagues, medical officers call, first of all, the qualities that belong to the following groups: “moral qualities”, “honesty”, “orderliness”, “strong-willed qualities”, “intelligence”, “empathy”, “altruism”, “neuro-psychic resilience”. To the qualities that prevent effective professional activity, medical officers most often attribute the personality qualities of the following groups: “lack of motivation”, “deceit”, “irresponsibility”, “and low culture of communication”, “disorganization”. Conclusion. There are differences in the attitude to professionally valuable personality traits in officers with and without signs of professional burnout syndrome. The essential features of not only the mental state, but also the psychological characteristics of military medical specialists in the formation of a professional burnout syndrome include adverse personality deformations (1 figure, 4 tabl., bibliography: 5 refs).
