The concept of "Love" in Russian and Arabic linguocultures

this article examines the linguocultural concept of "love," described through the linguistic means of the Russian and Arabic languages. A linguocultural comparison of the verbal realizations of this concept is conducted to identify the lexico-semantic tools used to express love in both languages, considering emotional states, relationships, behaviors, and the stereotypes of Russian and Arab societies associated with the notion of love. Commonalities and national-specific features in the use of linguistic means for conceptualizing these ideas within the linguistic picture of the world (LPW) are revealed through a comparison of their verbal realizations both within each language and in relation to one another. This approach allows for the identification of value dominants in each cultural society.
