The role and significance of holding "Conversations about the important" in pedagogical universities (on the example of the Kherson State Pedagogical University)

the article is devoted to the cycle of extracurricular activities "Conversations about the important" for students of pedagogical universities, as an important component of the training of teachers and their civil-patriotic education. The experience of holding such events at the Kherson State Pedagogical University is reviewed. Archival for young people of the new regions of the Russian Federation is the subject of historical heritage. Restoration of historical memory and understanding of key events in the history of the native land contribute to the comprehensive development of the personality and education of patriotism of young citizens of the Russian Federation. The cycle of events contributes to the enrichment of students' knowledge about their homeland, their native land, restores the historical memory of young people from new regions, forms attitudes towards traditional spiritual cultural values and patriotism, which is very important for future teachers. Also, such extracurricular activities in the higher education system contribute to the manifestation of empathy among students for events significant for our Motherland, its heroes, defenders and their exploits. The authors present examples of topics and methodological materials that will be useful when conducting "Conversations about the important" both in higher educational institutions and in schools.
