Abstract

the article presents some relevant data on the level of motivation of students of non-linguistic faculties to study a foreign (English) language before and after supplementing the content of the discipline "Foreign Language" with major advances in language economics, which were introduced during round tables. The study showed that familiarization students with the facts which prove the importance of foreign language proficiency in performing professional tasks is an important means of overcoming formal and positively amorphous attitudes towards learning a foreign language.
