Dialectical behavior therapy for children with oppositional defiant disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

disorders manifested in childhood and adolescence by disorganized behavior are quite common and are associated with serious disorders of the functioning of both patients and their families, as well as with varying degrees of insufficient psychological adaptation at later stages of development [1, 2, 5, 9]. The frequent occurrence in the population, high comorbidity and the predicate factor in the form of ODD to the subsequent addition of concomitant mental disorders necessitates a more complete interdisciplinary study. Psychological correction and psychotherapy of children with mental disorders in Russia remains poorly studied, there is still no unified methodology and diagnostic criteria for the success of psychocorrective measures and interventions, as well as issues of child-parent counseling and training programs, which are mainly focused on the problems of ASD and classical applied behavior analysis. This course and the current level of knowledge of the correction of behavioral disorders does not allow us to build a unified and effective form of psychocorrection of other disorders combined with behavioral disorders from mild to severe severity. This study aprobates and modifies methods and techniques of behavioral and emotional regulation from Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT) for children. The analysis of 3 clinical cases is carried out. Using the results obtained from the successful testing of the DBT methodology for the problematic behavior of children with ODD and Hyperkinetic disorder, it will help to further develop habilitation and psychocorrection methodologies for the successful correction and secondary prevention of behavioral disorders in childhood.
