Editorial Policies

Aims and Scope

      The journal “Animal Husbandry and Fodder Production” publishes the results of scientific research and their implementation in the agro-industrial complex. The editorial board determines the topics of the issues. Recommended scientific areas of articles for publication in the journal are the following: nanotechnology in animal husbandry and fodder production; bioelementology in animal husbandry and crop production; breeding, selection, genetics; production technology, product quality and economics in livestock farming; theory and practice of feeding; animal physiology; feed production and feed; general agriculture and crop production; economics and organization of agriculture.

 
 

Peer Review Process

  1. Articles are reviewed by the Review Institute in accordance with the “Regulations on the Review Institute of the theoretical and scientific-practical journal “Animal Husbandry and Fodder Production”.
  2. An article received by the editorial board is reviewed by members of the Editorial board within 2 weeks to determine whether the article complies with the Journal’s profile and submission requirements, is registered in the journal of articles received by the Editorial board, and is sent for review to a specialist (Doctor or Candidate of Sciences) with the scientific specialization closest to the topic of the article.
  3. Review is carried out confidentially for the authors and is highly confidential.
  4. The review is provided to the author of the article upon his/her written request, without a signature or indication of the reviewer’s surname, position, place of work.
  5. A review indicating the author of the review can be provided at the request of the Expert Councils at the Higher Attestation Commission.
  6. The review period is determined by the journal editor and is established in agreement with the reviewer, taking into account the creation of conditions for the fastest possible publication of the article, but cannot exceed one month from the moment the article is received by the reviewer. The final decision on the feasibility and timing of publication after review is made by the Editor-in-chief, and, if necessary, by the Editorial board of the journal as a whole.
  7. The editors of the journal inform the author about the decision made upon his written request by sending a written, motivated response by e-mail, fax or regular mail.
  8. The editors of the journal do not keep articles that have not been accepted for publication. Articles accepted for publication are not returned. Articles that receive a negative result from the reviewer are not published and are also not returned to the author.
  9. The original reviews are kept in the editorial office of the journal for five years from the moment they are signed by the reviewer.

Open Access Policy

   The Journal ‘Animal Husbandry and Fodder Production’ adheres to an open access policy, in accordance with the principles of the Budapest Budapest Open Access Initiative.  “Open access” means free access to scientific information through the public Internet and the right of each user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to full-text articles, search with indexing robots, enter them as data into software, or use for other lawful purposes in the absence of financial, legal and technical barriers, with the exception of those that regulate access to the Internet itself. The author’s right to control the integrity of his/her work and mandatory references to his/her name using and citing the work is the only restriction on reproduction and distribution and the only condition of copyright in this area.

Journal Code of Ethics

All work must be free from fraud, falsification and plagiarism. Data, tables, figures presented in other publications must be accompanied by references to these works and/or permission from the copyright holder must be provided. Identification of deliberate distortion of data serves as grounds for refusal to publish. The group of authors should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the work. The authorized author corresponding with the editors must obtain permission from all other authors to submit each version of the document and for any change in the composition of the team of authors. Authors must report specific contributions to the work being presented (e.g., design and execution of the study, development of methods, provision of newly created materials and instruments, scientific analysis and discussion of data, participation in writing the manuscript, etc.). Authors should cite all sources of funding and those who provided support and assistance in completing the work.

Authors and reviewers should notify the editor if the manuscript contains dual-use results so that the editor can provide additional consultation if necessary.

All experiments with animals must be conducted in accordance with the principles expressed in the WMA Declaration of Helsinki (https://www.wma.net/policy/current-policies/).

Authors must ensure that research using recombinant DNA and GMOs is carried out in accordance with the restrictions of the national legislation of the country in which the research was conducted.

Materials, descriptions of methods and data from authors should be made available to readers to allow other researchers to repeat the work. It is recommended that you enter as much of your data as possible into public databases. Cloned DNA and antibodies obtained and used in the work; strains of microorganisms, cell cultures, viruses must be provided to other researchers upon their request.

Authors are recommended to deposit information about genes, gene constructs, microarrays, amino acid sequences of proteins, nucleotide sequences, etc. in authorized databases (NCBI, etc.) indicating the number in the article.

Reports of typographical errors and errors made by the authors that do not change the main results and/or conclusions may be published in the journal at the discretion of the editors.
