Abstract
the article examines the impact of gamification on student motivation. The research methods employed include an analysis of scientific literature and a synthesis of gamification implementation practices in education. The paper outlines approaches to defining the term "gamification," explores psychological and motivational foundations of gamification with a focus on Deci & Ryan’s Self-Determination Theory, Csikszentmihalyi’s Flow Theory, and Yu-kai Chou’s Octalysis framework, and provides examples of successful gamification integration in education. Potential challenges and risks associated with adopting this teaching method are also addressed.
