Heydar Aliyev consistently focused on solving the environmental problems of our republic, preserving existing natural monuments, improving the ecological situation, protecting the environment and ensuring the efficient use of natural resources. Within the framework of ecological decisions adopted under the leadership of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, numerous laws and decrees were signed, yielding significant results. Naturally, this is a reflection of the fundamental environmental balance restoration and environmental protection program established by Heydar Aliyev and the outcome of the continuous environmental policy implemented by President Ilham Aliyev. The author noted that fundamental changes have taken place in our country in the area of maintaining ecological balance and protecting the environment, and important measures have been taken to protect natural resources, including minerals, water, soil, air, forests, and invaluable biodiversity resources.
