Abstract
this article explores the transformation of professional practices in the field of text work under the influence of generative AI chatbots based on large language models (LLM), such as GPT and Claude. The study focuses on three key areas: journalism, editing, and copywriting. In the area of journalism, the author analyzes the use of AI to automate routine tasks (idea generation, summaries, transcription), increase the efficiency of news cycles, and assist in data analysis, while also identifying risks related to reliability (“hallucinations”) and ethical dilemmas that require the development of editorial policies. In the field of editing, the study demonstrates the widespread use of AI tools for fixing grammar, enhancing style, and overcoming language barriers-especially among non-native speakers-which leads to increased productivity. However, it emphasizes the critical need for human post-editing due to the risk of semantic distortions and the addition of false information by the machine, as well as noting a shift in the perception of AI from being prohibited to its ethical application being regulated. The analysis of copywriting reveals the mass adoption of AI for quickly creating drafts, generating ideas, and adapting content, thereby significantly reducing time expenditure. Nevertheless, limitations of AI in creativity, emotional depth, and understanding of cultural context necessitate further human refinement of texts. Additionally, ethical and legal aspects (originality, copyright, consumer transparency) are considered along with the anticipated transformation of the copywriter profession towards managing AI and editing its output. The main findings of the study point to an early stage of a fundamental transformation of text-related professions. Generative AI has proven its value as an assistant tool that enhances speed, scalability, and efficiency in journalism, editing, and copywriting. However, the key challenges remain ensuring the reliability and quality of content through mandatory human oversight, developing ethical standards and transparent rules for its use, and adapting professions to the new model of human-machine cooperation. The author asserts that AI will not replace but rather redefine the role of the specialist, enhancing the importance of critical thinking, creativity, and technological management skills.
