Abstract
The features of creative self-development of teenagers with disabilities are examined. The role of theater as a form of socio-pedagogical work, an important component for the development of personality of adolescents is emphasized. The experience of work of the theater with the purpose of rehabilitation of young disabled people with peculiarities of mental development is analyzed. The data of a survey to identify the development of personality qualities in the process of theatrical activities, according to the students themselves are presented. The conclusion about the creation of new opportunities for the creative self-development of teenagers by means of theatrical art is made.
