Abstract
The phenomenon of suicide is considered through the prism of the existential philosophy of Albert Camus: the concept of the absurd, the causes of its occurrence in human life, the stages of its development and the consequences resulting from it, the philosopher’s attitude to suicide – philosophical and physical. The interrelation of the phenomenon of absurdity and suicide and when suicide is a consequence of absurdity is analyzed, and the basic concept of suicide is also touched upon. The reasons for which a person may resort to suicide have been determined.
