The journal «Humanities Research of Central Russia» was founded on May 13, 201. It was reregistered with the addition of an English translation on January 21, 2019. By Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 41-1р dated October 22, 2021, the journal was included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications of the Higher Attestation Commission. In comparison with 2016,  the  editorial board and editorial team of the journal have significantly increased in number to represent its diverse sections and to meet the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission. The editor–in-chief of the journal since  the time the journal was founded has been M.V. Boguslavsky, Deputy editor-in-chief is I.V. Burmykina
