Implementation of the concept of patriotic education of youth in the Rostov region

from the perspective of a systematic approach, the article attempts to identify the goals, objectives, principles, directions and system of patriotic education of young people in the Rostov region, which is a border region, which leaves a certain imprint on the organization of educational work with university students – future teachers, whose mission is to form a Person, Citizen, Patriot. The purpose of the article is to reflect on the content of the Concept of patriotism and citizenship in the Rostov region. The objectives of the article are to identify the main vectors of educational work with young people on the formation of patriotism and citizenship; to identify strategic and tactical initiatives of the university aimed at fostering patriotism among modern students; to determine the level of social activity of students that affects the development of personal patriotism. The use of the student survey method and the diagnosis of the results obtained allow the author, with a certain degree of conditionality, to make a forecast of the success of the main educational strategies implemented at the university to form a patriotic consciousness and an active civic position among young people; increase the level of social activity and responsibility of young people; strengthen the intergenerational bond and preserve cultural heritage, which will help reduce social negation and students of patriotism and citizenship.
