Teaching Reading Through Gamification in Primary School

Abstract

The article deals with the role of gamification in the lessons of Spanish as a second foreign language in primary school with the aim of developing reading skills. The article provides a number of exercises meant to develop skimming, scanning and detailed reading skills. The article suggests introducing storytelling as an effective method of promoting students’ reading skills and motivating them to do more reading.
