Abstract

The aim of the article is to presents first clinical experience of laparoscopic occlusion of testicular veins in the treatment of varicocele. Materials and methods. Operations were performed in 4 patients aged 18-27 years. Depending on the degree of the disease, patients were distributed as follows: 1 patient with I degree, 3 patients with II degree. The laparoscopic occlusion of the left testicular vein was performed by using an endoscopic stand “ALLGAIR” (Belgium-Germany). The operation was performed under intravenous anesthesia with tracheal intubation. The patient was on his back in a modified Trendelenburg position with his left side raised by 15°. In the umbilical region insufflation of carbon dioxide was performed by means of a Veress needle. Endoscopic panoramic exporation of the abdominal cavity and the topography of testicular vein were performed after the introduction of the laparoscope. The results of the study. There were no complications and mortality in the early postoperative period. Control postoperative examinations of patients were carried out in 1, 3, 6 months, no recurrence was revealed during this period. Conclusion. Insufficient clinical data prervent from drawing definite conclusion. However the given method has a number of advantages: it is minimally invasive, it has painless postoperative period, it reduces the duration of hospital stay up to 1 day, it also results in rapid restoration of normal physical activity. Further accumulation of clinical material is needed to reach certain conclusions and recommendations.
