Abstract
The results of the observation of the children with infectious mononucleosis treated at the city hospital №5 in Samara for the period from 2000 till 2010. The spread of the disease in children of different age groups, the structure of the pathogen, the timing of admission, severity of the illness are analyzed. Both the characteristic of the clinical picture of infectious mononucleosis and accompanying pathology are given. The approaches to the treatment of infectious mononucleosis in children are shown.
