Abstract
Reforms that occur in health care require permanent changes in nursing, which is a critical component of the industry with significant human resources and capacity to meet the demand for accessible and qualified care for the population of Russia. The article analyzes staffing of a modern General hospital. Special emphasis is placed on the work of the surgical services of the institution.
