Besides meter and rhyme, constructs independent of on the syntactic and intonation border of an utterance, we suggest considering a complex unit (a verseme) describing a verse segment as a primary element of the poetic syntax.

The article deals with the questions of how the category of quantitativity is represented in Linguistics and how Russian and Spanish grammatical forms correlate depending on meaning expressed.
