Countable and Uncounatable Nouns in Russian and English and Their Markers

Resumo
The article describes countable and uncountable nouns in the Russian and English languages and their markers. The analysis shows that Russian and English have some common means to express these categories. There is a number of suffixes indicating countable nouns in both languages and there is one suffix indicating uncountable nouns in English and no such suffixes in Russian. Some other features of Russian and English uncountable nouns are also described.
