Ideoglossary as a Type of Author’s Vocabulary

Abstract

The article treats a glossary of a specific type - author’s glossary, or ideoglossary. The authors introduce analysis of a notion of ideoglossa as the basic unit to describe such a vocabulary. The entry of “Dostoyevsky’s Ideoglossary” which is being elaborated by a team of Institute of Russian Language n.a. V.V. Vinogradov, RASc, headed by the RASc. correspondent-member, professor Yu.N. Karaulov serves as an example.
