The journal of our Center has been published since 1914. Over its almost century-long history, it has changed its name and cover more than once, but its main task was to publish the results of scientific research in the field of subtropical horticulture, floriculture and ornamental horticulture. In 2011, the editorial board approved the current name – "Subtropical and ornamental gardening". Since 2012, this journal has been a subscription publication and is included in the catalog of the Agency Rospechat' (Russian: ОАО Агентство Роспечать), as well as represented in the Russian Science Citation Index, and has a certificate of registration of a mass media outlet.
Since 2015, it has been issued with a frequency of 4 times a year.
In 2018, the journal was assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) in the Crossref system.
In 2020, the journal Subtropical and Ornamental Horticulture is included in the List of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of doctor and candidate of Sciences should be published.
Currently, the journal publishes original research results, theoretical reviews, and applied works related to topical issues of crop production, as well as problems of scientific support and personnel training. The authors of the articles are well–known academic scientists, doctors and candidates of sciences, professors and associate professors, as well as graduate students, applicants and students (masters, bachelors) who are taking their first steps in science.
Our journal is democratic, open to all authors, but at the same time places high demands on the quality of the published material, including the design of articles.
We will be glad to work closely with everyone who cares about subtropical and ornamental gardening and agricultural economics.
