Abstract
The article discusses the history of the first two national universities in Soviet Russia: for the Jews and for Estonians. There is emphasized the urgency of studying national educational policy of the Bolsheviks for modern Russian society. Preconditions of occurrence of these universities, as well as the reasons for the clotting system of education for national minorities are analyzed.
