Original Study Articles

Complete report on original research.

Reviews

Substantial overview of original research, usually with a comprehensive bibliography, generally also containing a table of contents.

Systematic reviews and metaanalisys

A review of primary literature that attempts to identify, appraise, and synthesize all the empirical evidence that meets specified eligibility criteria to answer a given research question. Its conduct uses explicit methods aimed at minimizing bias in order to produce more reliable findings regarding the effects of interventions.

Works consisting of studies using a quantitative method of combining the results of independent studies (usually drawn from the published literature) and synthesizing summaries and conclusions. It is often an overview of original studies. It is usually called a meta-analysis by the author or sponsoring body and should be differentiated from reviews of literature.

Datasets

Works consisting of organized collections of data, which have been stored permanently in a formalized manner suitable for communication, interpretation, or processing.

Technical Report

Work consisting of a formal report giving details of the investigation and results of a scientific problem. When issued by a government agency or comparable official body, its contents may be classified, unclassified, or declassified with regard to security clearance. This publication type may also cover a scientific paper or article that records the current state or current position of scientific research and development.

Editorials

Work consisting of a statement of the opinions, beliefs, and policy of the editor or publisher of a journal, usually on current matters of medical or scientific significance t

Short Communication

Short report or announcement of research, usually claiming certain results, usually with a shorter publication time than other papers in the same publication.

Correspondence

Letter to the editor or a reply to the letter.

Historical Articles

An article or portion of an article giving an account of past events or circumstances significant in a field of study, a profession, a discovery, an invention, etc. The concept of history is very wide, ranging from the dawn of time to the present.

同⾏评审过程

A single-blind peer-review method is mandatory for processing of all scientific manuscripts submitted to the editorial stuff of the journal. This implies that  the author maintains no any contact with the reviewer and do not know the reviewer's person.

  1. Members of the editorial board and leading international experts in corresponding areas of sciences, invited as independent experts, perform peer-reviews. Editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief,  science editor or executive editor choose experts for peer-review. We aim to limit the peer-review process to 2-4 weeks, though in some cases the schedule may be adjusted at the reviewer’s request.
  2. Reviewer has an option to abnegate the assessment should any conflict of interests arise that may affect perception or interpretation of the manuscript. Upon the scrutiny, the reviewer is expected to present the editorial board with one of the following recommendations:
    • to accept the manuscript in its present state;
    • to accept the manuscript with some minor revisions;
    • to invited the author to revise their manuscript (major revisions are necessary to address specific concerns before final decision is reached;
    • that final decision be reached following further reviewing by another specialist;
    • to reject the manuscript outright.
  3. If the reviewer has recommended any refinements, the editorial staff would suggest the author either to implement the corrections, or to dispute them reasonably. Authors are kindly required to limit their revision to 2 months and resubmit the revised manuscript within this period for final evaluation.
  4. We politely request that the editor be notified verbally or in writing should the author decide to refuse from publishing the manuscript. In case the author fails to do so within 3 months since receiving a copy of the initial peer-review, the editorial board takes the manuscript off the register and notifies the author accordingly.
  5. If author and peer-reviewers meet insoluble contradictions regarding revision of the manuscript, the editor-in-chief resolves the conflict by his own authority.
  6. The editorial board reaches final decision to reject a manuscript on the hearing according to peer-reviewers’ recommendations, and duly notifies the authors of their decision via e-mail. The editorial board does not accept previously rejected manuscripts for re-evaluation.
  7. Upon the decision to accept the manuscript for publishing, the editorial staff notifies the authors of the scheduled date of publication.
  8. Kindly note that positive peer-review does not guarantee the acceptance, as final decision in all cases lies with the editorial board. By his authority, editor-in-chief rules final solution of every conflict.
  9. Original reviews of submitted manuscripts remain deposited not less than 5 years.
  10. Reviews can be sent to the Ministry of Education and Sciense of Russian Federation in case of query.
