Abstract
The article considers the design of a stand for automated study of automobile and bus generator sets. The main types of drives and control systems for the stand are considered. The optimal type and capacity of asynchronous motor drive and control unit are chosen. Automated software-based measurement system for studying energy and thermal processes is developed. A diagram for the study of transient processes in the electrical system in real operation is presented in the paper. An automated control algorithm for asynchronous drive of the stand is shown.
