Abstract
In Russia, negative trends are detected concerning population health indicators. The major cause of this process is deterioration of demographic situation. According to all-Russia population census (2010) 71.8% out of 47 seniors of population are persons older than able-bodied age. The loss of social and material independence and lacking of self-confidence are both risk factors and factors keeping up social deadaptation in this part of population. The manifestations of certain chronic diseases being accompanied by insomnia, depression, memory disorders, surplus consumption of pharmaceuticals against the background of involution alterations of pharmacokinetics are additional aggravating factors.
