Multi-Purpose Vibratory Driver for Hydraulic Engineering Construction

Minaev O.

Аннотация

The VPP-2 vibratory driver and the Russian method based on it for compacting foundations using a vibratory compactor of longitudinal vibration with a spatial compactor in a “vibro-herringbone” form have been widely used around the world for driving (extraction of) a piling and vibration compaction of sandy foundation soil, both water-saturated or slightly damp and combinations thereof. The article presents the results of a theoretical substantiation of the developed calculation model and field tests of a method of deep vibration compaction of foundations, showing its shortcomings. These shortcomings were most clearly manifested during compaction of heavy thickness of the sandy foundations (9 m and greater). It is shown that the shortcomings of the known vibratory compactor can be eliminated or significantly decreased by using a vibratory compactor with radial elements placed at a specified height in the lower part of the compactor probe. This makes it possible to improve the technical characteristics of the vibratory compactor operating with a reliable and economic vibratory driver. The main results of these researches were reported at the 15th Asian Regional Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, “New innovations and sustainability” (15ARC) in Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan, on November 9 – 13, 2015.

Use of Vibration for Monitoring the Condition of Turbogenerator Stators

Grigor’ev A.

Аннотация

The physical causes of the radial vibration of the stator core of a two-pole turbogenerator are considered. Their relationship, influence on the vibration of the core, and dependence on the operating conditions of the turbogenerator are shown. The principles and practice of using vibration parameters for monitoring the condition of stators are described and justified.

Features of Vibration Adjustment of T-185/210-16.2 Turbogenerator

Shklyarov M., Lebed’ko N., Ryzhkov A., Nasredinov V., Rochev N., Mironov A.

Аннотация

Some features of the vibratory condition of the prototype T-185/210-16.2 + TZFP-220-2UZ turbogenerator during the first years of operation that required thorough vibration survey and analysis to identify the main causes of the increased vibration of the bearings and shafting. The main causes of the increased vibration of the turbogenerator include a slight residual unbalance of the rotor, design features, and operating conditions. A package of measures was taken to reduce the vibration of the bearings and rotor journals in all operating conditions to a level meeting international requirements.

Measurement of Residual Creep Deformation of Elements of High-Temperature, High-Chromium Steel Steam Pipes Without Using Reference Marks

Grin’ E., Sarkisyan V.

Аннотация

The urgency of testing residual creep deformation of high-chromium steel steam pipes is substantiated. For cases when the high-chromium steel pipes are delivered from the manufacturer without reference marks, it is suggested to measure residual creep deformation not by the traditional method, i.e., without the use of reference marks. For this purpose, the design of a device enabling checking residual deformation directly on the outside surface of a pipe element is proposed and the principle of action of this device is described. The acceptable accuracy and reproducibility of the measurement results by means of the proposed device is substantiated.

Evaluation of the Effect of the Duration of the Repair Status of the Electrical Network on an Increase in Electric Power Losses1

Gerasimenko A., Puzyrev E.

Аннотация

The effect of the duration of the repair status of networks, their load, composition, and configuration of schemes on an increase of electric power losses in 6 – 35 kV distribution networks is examined. For the report interval (a month), as a result of deterministic modeling of multiple regimes, the character was determined and the graphic and analytical dependences of the increase in the relative value of electric power losses on the duration of the repair status of the network and its load were obtained. The statistical test method is the basis of the investigations.

Calculation of Admissible Currents for the Protected Wires of 110 kV Overhead Lines

Vikharev A.

Аннотация

Protected wires have insulation from cross-linked polyethylene with low heat conductivity, which impairs heat removal from the hot wire. A methodology is proposed for designing admissible continuous currents for the insulated wires of overhead transmission lines, taking into account various climatic conditions, and based on the solution of the equation of thermal balance. The materials provided in this article can be used for design and operation of overhead transmission lines on which the protected wires are used.

Stress-Rupture Strength, Structure, and Properties of Welded Joints of 15Kh1M1F and X10CrMoVNb9-1 (P91) Steels

Lanin A., Prokhorova T., Khanzhin S.

Аннотация

Stress-rupture tests of transverse similar-metal and dissimilar-metal welds are simulated numerically. The dependence of the stress-rupture strength of P91 steel weldments on the relative width of the interlayer and the ratio between the creep rates of the parent metal and the weakened region in the heat-affected zone is identified and described. An upper bound estimate of the stress-rupture strength of a dissimilar-metal weld is obtained using a model of a weldment with two soft interlayers with identical properties. Achange of the point of rupture with reduction in the stress is found numerically and confirmed experimentally.
