Cobalt and copper tetra-[4-(9,10-dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthraceny-2-yl)]- and tetra-{4-[(9,10-dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracen-2-yl)oxy]}phthalocyanines have been prepared; their spectral properties have been studied.
