Abstract
Intramolecular cyclization of N-aryl-2-[(9-oxoacridin-10(9H)-yl)acetyl]hydrazinecarboxamides afforded new 10-(5-arylamino-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-ylmethyl)acridin-9(10H)-ones. Some of the synthesized compounds showed a moderate antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
