详细

The problem of developing a 12-phase compensated rectifier unit for dc traction substations in railway transport has been considered. The importance of the problem is dictated by the growing scale and speed of freight service, as well as the occurrence of new types of freight traffic by dc railways. This requires increasing the energy efficiency of traction power supply. In view of this, it is suggested to introduce compensated units in the form of two three-phase reactors and a capacitor bank that works at the fifth and seventh harmonic frequencies in the 12-phase uncompensated rectifier units of traction substations. When solving the problem, an analytical method for studying electromagnetic processes with calculations of all the necessary characteristics and simulations in MATLAB were used, as well as design solutions for development of the compensated equipment and plan of equipment layout at dc traction substations of Russian Railways. The most important results of the problem being solved are the possibility of complete compensation of the reactive power supplied by substations, the guarantee of high efficiency of a capacitor bank of a compensated unit, and the maintenance and stabilization of rectified voltage in the contact circuit at the necessary level under conditions of intensification of freight service. The implementation of the problem being solved is provided by the innovative development of the Russian Railways.
