We have reported on the results of experiments on the influence of current pulses on the band formation and intermittent deformation of AlMg5 alloy. It has been established that, to suppress the nucleation of deformation bands, preliminary treatment of the alloy by a current of density 60 A/mm² for at least 1 s is required.
