Abstract
The dependence of graphene formation mechanisms during pyrolysis of carbon-containing molecules on iridium on the crystal structure and surface curvature has been studied using field desorption and field electron microscopy. The structure and shape of grown carbon formations, diffusion, desorption, and intercalation of alkali metal atoms have been investigated.
