Using a single donor–acceptor pair attached to a protein molecule as a tool for studying fluctuations in the folding and unfolding of a protein

Abstract

Using the example of a single protein molecule with two attached dye molecules (a donor–acceptor pair) it it shown how statistical processing of the tracks of donor and acceptor fluorescence can help in investigating the amplitude and rate of the changes in the conformation of a protein molecule.
