Abstract
Literature data on the surface tension of copper σs in the solid phase are reviwed. The σs values obtained by different researchers using the zero creep method are given. The most reliable result is an σs obtained by the zero creep compensation method in vacuum. At 1253 K, it is (1520 ± 14) × 10−3 J m−2.
