Abstract
A parameter was proposed to make it possible to provide quantitative evaluation of the share of the volume of technological working space in the common geometrical space of machines with parallel kinematics. This parameter is the ratio of the technological working space volume to the geometrical space volume; it may be used during the analysis of different layouts of a parallel structure mechanism at an earlier designing stage.
