Abstract
The urgency of this problem is due to the uniqueness of infancy; early age is recognized as one of the most significant in terms of the formation of a number of mental functions of the child. System of early intervention provides the widest possible coverage of children with developmental disorders in the early stages of ontogenesis that promotes the prevention of secondary disorders in development, as well as the most effective use of sensitive periods of formation of higher mental functions for their recovery and development. As part of this work, the history of formation and development of the early intervention system will be considered abroad and in Russia.
