Kanyukova E.V.
Abstract
The history of studies in Russia and a review of clari cation of ranges of water striders of the genus Gerris ( G. (s. str.) costae , G. (s. str.) thoracicus , G. ( Gerriselloides ) asper , G. For two species of Gerriselloides : G. asper and G. brachynotus , distribution maps with new locations are provided. The preference of species of the subgenera Gerris , Gerriselloides and Macrogerris with brownish dorsal surface for the shady part of water bodies is discussed.
