Thalassiosira tealata Takano, 1980 (Bacillariophyta), a Species of Diatoms New to the Seas of Russia

Аннотация

The diatom Thalassiosira tealata Takano, 1980 was identified using a scanning electron microscope, as a result of the study of phytoplankton in coastal waters of the Peter the Great Gulf, Sea of Japan, and first noted in the seas of Russia. The T. tealata strain and the nucleotide sequence of the 18S rDNA gene used for molecular genetic analysis were obtained. A detailed description of the species is provided, supplemented by microphotographs and data on its distribution.

The tree reconstruction is based on 18S rDNA sequences using the BI, NJ, MP, and ML algorithms. Node values ​​are the percentage estimate of the stability of the topology from 1000 repetitions of the nonparametric bootstrap test for NJ, MP, ML, respectively, and the percentage values ​​of the posterior probabilities of the nodes for BI. Numbers I and II mark two phylogroups.
