Author Guidelines
When submitting articles to the journal, international ethical norms developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (http://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines), peer-reviewed journals of Elsevier Publishing House (http://health.elsevier.ru/about/news/?id=990), and those provided on the websites of the founders of the "Bulletin of Psychotherapy" journal must be followed. Authors should submit an electronic version of the article in Word 97-2003 format (!) and a scanned signed cover letter to the editorial board through the "Submit Article" option at the electronic address (https://vestpsihoterapii.elpub.ru). The information should include the full names of authors, academic degrees and titles, current positions, and the postal address of the institution, as well as the authors' contributions to the preparation of the article. The lead author should provide a contact phone number for communication with the editorial board.
The formatting of the article should adhere to GOST 7.89-2005 "Originals: Text Authorial and Publishing" and GOST 7.0.7-2021 "Articles in Journals and Collections." Diagnostic terms and behavior disorders should correspond to the ICD-10. Units of measurement should be in accordance with GOST 8.471-2002 "State System for Ensuring the Uniformity of Measurements: Units of Measurement."
The text of the article should be typed in Times New Roman font, size 12 pt (tables – 10 pt), with 1.5 line spacing. The margins on all sides should be 2 cm. The maximum length of review and research articles should not exceed 15 pages, while experimental and general theoretical studies should not exceed 10 pages. This includes the text, illustrations (figures, tables), the list of references, and the English section.
The structure of the article includes: 1) initials and surnames of authors; 2) title of the article (in lowercase), affiliation, and address of the institution (provided for each author); 3) abstract and keywords, aligned with the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) in the Russian version available on the website of the Central Scientific Medical Library (http://www.scsml.rssi.ru/); 4) brief introduction; 5) materials and methods; 6) results and their analysis; 7) conclusion (findings); 8) potential conflicts of interest that could affect the analysis and interpretation of the obtained results, sources of financial support (grants, state programs, projects, etc.), acknowledgments; 9) author contributions (specific contributions of each author to the preparation and writing of the article); 10) references.
The abstract should be no less than 250 characters and should be provided in both Russian and English. The sections of the abstract should briefly answer the following questions: Relevance – why was the research conducted? What is its purpose? Methodology – what was done? Object (subject) of the study and the apparatus used. Results and Analysis – what was obtained? How do these results correlate with previous research? Conclusion – what needs to be implemented in scientific practice?
The list of references should be in alphabetical order, excluding fundamental publications, and should include scientific publications from the last 5–10 years (articles, conference materials, dissertations' abstracts). The bibliography should adhere to GOST 7.0.5-2008 "Bibliographic Reference." For articles (books), regardless of the number of authors, the bibliographic description should include the title, which usually contains the names and initials of all authors. The use of dots and hyphens in the citation should be replaced with a dot. The place of publication (publisher, if applicable), year of publication, total number of pages, and DOI of articles should be provided. For individual chapters and articles, the starting and ending pages of the document should be included. In the transliterated list (References), the publication details: 2021; Vol. 2, No. 5. P. 7–10 and 2005; (7):28–39, should be presented as 2021; 2(5):7–10 and 2005; (7):28–39. The journal number should be enclosed in parentheses.
Only black and white figures are allowed, and the fillings of the elements in the figures can be slanted, hatched, or crossed. Accepted file formats are TIFF, JPG, and PDF, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. The width of the figure should not exceed 160 mm, and the height should not exceed 130 mm. The figure legend should be easily readable, with a minimum font size of 8–9 pt.
The English section should include: 1) authors and the title of the article; 2) the name of the institution in English, as presented in the institution's charter; 3) information about the authors – transliterated first names, patronymics (at the beginning), and surnames, academic degrees and titles, positions, the institution, and its address; 4) abstract by sections and keywords; 5) transliterated list of references. When transliterating, the BSI format should be used (http://translit.net). After the transliterated Russian title, the English translation should be provided in square brackets. Official translations of article titles and journal names should be used, as presented in journals, the Scientific Electronic Library (http://elibrary.ru), and leading libraries of the country.
Submitted articles are reviewed by members of the editorial board, editorial council, and leading experts in the field. The review process is "double-blind." Articles with positive reviews are accepted for publication.
Upon acceptance for publication, authors grant the editorial board the right to place full texts of the articles and their abstracts in informational reference and bibliographic databases.
Manuscripts are not returned to authors.
There is no publication fee for manuscripts from graduate students.
